Anita Gödiker, as CEO and founder of SATELLITE OFFICE, you have decided to take your CSR, Corporate Social Responsibility, seriously and live it. What is it that motivates you to do this?
AG:
As a woman in the business world, there are many issues that you encounter on a daily basis. These can be nice topics, but in the main they are topics that move in a different direction. You see, we live in a time when difficulties are the order of the day. Social peace has been severely disrupted, the economy is struggling and the social systems are working to the limit for many reasons. So I think it’s only fair if we, who are in the sun, give something back to society.
JF:
As a successful entrepreneur, you are already giving back enough by creating jobs and certainly paying a lot of taxes.
AG:
Well, everyone does, one more, one less. No, I’m talking about responsibility, which we should, in fact must, live by. There are great institutions that take care of the weakest in society who are dependent on donations. For example, we supported a Christmas campaign that packs parcels for children who would otherwise find nothing under the Christmas tree. I also support many other projects with donations, but I don’t want to name them.
JF:
You have just made the SATELLIT OFFICE premises at the Alte Oper in Frankfurt available to the VIOLIN ASSETS project. VIOLIN ASSETS brings young, talented artists together with sponsors who invest in a classical master instrument and then make these instruments available to the artists.
AG:
The idea fascinated me right from the start. To find a patron who will then lend his instrument to selected talents in order to promote their skills and their playing. This is where people who belong together meet. With our luxury workspaces in the best locations, we also offer our customers the opportunity to develop in the best possible way. Of course, this is not entirely comparable, but we also operate in an exclusive environment with our offers, similar to these artists with their extraordinary skills. If we can help to build bridges and support young people. How to live corporate responsibility better…?
JF:
Thank you very much!
