Owner Gödiker sees confirmation for your concept
Berlin, October 31, 2016: The current year is shaping up to be a successful one for Satellite Office. Three new Business & Conference Centers have been opened since the beginning of the year in Munich, Berlin and, for the first time, abroad in Zurich. This means that the medium-sized, privately managed company now has seven locations in Germany and Switzerland. Anita Gödiker, owner and managing director of Satellite Office: “We are positively surprised by the excellent start of the new business centers. This is an important and pleasant confirmation of our work. The constant technical and architectural development of our centers – without losing any of our down-to-earthness – and the proximity to our customers are convincing.” Satellite Office has been on the German market for almost twenty years. Customers appreciate and reward the reliability, commitment and sustainability in an industry where providers otherwise often change, sell or reinvent themselves.
Munich II is already 95 percent booked
The new location in the heart of Munich is in the listed “Alte Hopfenpost” directly next to the main train station and opposite the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation. Here, a total of 28 offices, some with their own terrace, three conference rooms, day offices, a fireplace lounge, a coworking area and an atrium lounge for inspiring work were created on 1,535 square meters. Together with the first location, the Ludwigpalais in Maxvorstadt, Satellite Office now has a total of 2,900 sqm of office space in the Bavarian metropolis. The individual and team offices that can be rented on a fixed basis are already 95 percent leased. However, thanks to the good mix of flexible and fixed workstations as well as the spacious coworking area with over 120 sqm, there is capacity also and especially for temporary project work.
Double expansion in Berlin – occupancy rate of individual offices over 90 percent
City West is back. Haus Cumberland represents this awakening to new business life like no other property in Charlottenburg/Wilmersdorf. Surrounded by boutiques and top restaurants, the listed Art Nouveau building is located directly on Kurfürstendamm. The Business & Conference Center, which has already existed since 2006 with 1,430 sqm, was expanded by 700 sqm. With this scale of 2,130 sqm in total, exquisite interiors and the highest quality of service, Satellite Office is the leading provider of “casual luxury working”. The Business & Conference Center in Französische Straße – diagonally opposite the famous “Borchardt” restaurant – was also newly opened. In the middle of Mitte. The new Satellite Office with 1,238 sqm over three floors is located in the former Imperial Post Office Headquarters. Here, too, 90 percent of the 34 available offices have already been leased. The spacious, casually yet luxuriously appointed coworking space has been particularly well received.
Zurich – First Satellite Office in Europe
The opening of the Business Center in the Swiss financial metropolis of Zurich in March of this year marks the first and important step into the European market. The Gryffenberg building in Zurich’s Bahnhofstrasse, which is a listed building, was restored at just the right time and at the same time converted into a top-class business center. In keeping with the Satellite Office concept, a unique place for working and international meetings has been created here – with a view of Lake Zurich. Accordingly, demand has been high right from the start. Anita Gödiker: “Transatlantic companies used to come to Europe via London. After Brexit, Zurich and Berlin are positioning themselves. In addition, Switzerland offers excellent infrastructures for companies, their representative offices and dependencies. With our concept, we cater to the upscale demands that customers have of such a location on Bahnhofstrasse. That has been lacking here so far.”
About quality, concept and offer
In times of enormous change in working behavior and workplace design, Satellite Office consistently focuses on maximum flexibility and the concept of “casual luxury working”. Customers can choose to gain access to the Satellite Office world through membership or by simply renting offices. More than 1,500 companies already use Satellite Office business centers. The combination of “Virtual Office” and “Membership” is unique: Entrepreneurs thus have every opportunity to flexibly and always redefine their workplace across all locations. Sometimes a temporary workstation in open space is sufficient, sometimes a single office is required – and only what is actually used is paid for. A long-term commitment is not envisaged due to dynamic contract terms. This is highly economical for companies and unique in this combination in the business center industry. All locations are in historic, prestigious properties in prime locations. As historic as it looks from the outside, it is modern on the inside: The latest IT in very high-quality equipped offices, designed coworking areas, fireplace lounges, meeting rooms with first-class views, bistros and (rooftop) terraces. The company has received several awards for the personal service provided by its qualified Satellite Office employees. Most recently, all Satellite Office Centers were named “best managed office 2016” by “manager magazin” and Statista. Anita Gödiker: “With our clear, consistent concept and sustained high service quality, we are obviously right on target. As a German, medium-sized company, we also bring a lot of grounding to the table. In addition, our customers appreciate commitment and reliability, which they themselves live just as we do. That connects.”
What’s next for 2017?
Anita Gödiker: “We are continuing to expand at a high level in 2017. Frankfurt is in the starting blocks, further locations in Germany are close to completion, and we are also planning further satellite offices in Switzerland for the new year.” All locations are selected entirely personally by the owner to ensure they complement the hand-picked collection of properties. The build-out and implementation will be done in close collaboration with office and concept developers. Gödiker: ” I am very pleased about the positive development and am always on the lookout for representative listed properties in extremely good locations in the economic metropolises for further expansion. 2017 can come and – it remains exciting!”
